Liz Somerville is the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to Liz Somerville Consultancy. I am committed to protecting your privacy and comply with the principles of the relevant data protection regulations. This privacy notice explains what personal information I may collect about you and how I use it. It also sets out how you can ask me to update, correct or delete the data I hold about you and how you can opt out of marketing communications from me.
What information do I collect?
I may collect basic personal data about you including name, address, email, phone number when you contact me to enquire about or provide my services. If you commission my services in relation to an organisation such as a school I may also collect information about the organisation and staff that work there.
Why I need your data
I need to know your basic personal data in order to keep in contact with you and provide you with on-going organisational updates.
I will not collect any personal data from you that I do not need in order to provide and oversee my services to you.
What do I do with your data and who do I share it with?
I collect information about you in order to effectively plan and evaluate the services I provide to you and to administer any consultancy, training or CPD e.g. visiting you at home or your place of work to deliver in-house consultancy.
If you commission me to run or attend an accredited course I may also collect data which I pass on to the accrediting body so that they can administer the course and provide certification etc. I will always tell you first if I am going to pass your information on for this reason and to whom.
If you agree, I may also use your information to keep you up to date with news, projects, research, courses and events that may be of interest to you. I will only send you this type of information by email.
I will not share your information with any other third party for commercial or marketing purposes.
I may disclose your personal data if legally required to do so by a governmental entity or regulatory authority.
How do I store the information I collect about you?
Your personal data is processed personally by me in the UK and will be stored electronically on my personal computer which is password protected.
For the purposes of IT hosting this information maybe saved remotely and located on remote servers within the European Union and other countries. The server guarantees the security of your data via their privacy policies and corporate terms.
How long do I keep your data?
I am required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years for accounting purposes after which time it will be destroyed.
If you commission training or other forms of professional development for yourself or members of your staff, I will keep their data as a record of their CPD activity unless you or they request that I delete that information.
Your information that I use for marketing purposes will be kept until you notify me that you no longer wish to receive this information. You can ask me to stop sending you marketing information at any time. When you give consent to send marketing information, I will understand your consent to last for five years. After this time, in order for me to continue to update you, I will ask you to renew your consent to receive marketing information.
How can you withdraw consent for me to use your data?
I would like to keep in contact with everyone that I have provided consultancy to, both for the purpose of evaluating my services and for future marketing. If you have consented to this contact from me you have a right to opt out at any time.
